Sending a Mail/Care Package

This policy online outlines the rules and regulations for sending mail to inmates. Generally, know that you can send letters and postcards to inmates, but do not send any contraband or sexually provocative material. Letters will be opened and screen by the Foothills Correctional Institution staff.

Sending Money

Inmates at the Foothills Correctional Institution are generally permitted to hold money in a commissary account. They can use this money to purchase commissary items or subscribe to periodicals. There are kiosks available to the inmates to access their account balances.

Visitation

Start by reading the visitation guidelines online. You will need to plan to make arrangements ahead of time for a visit, as visitation rights can be restricted. If inmates do not have restrictions, they will be able to receive visitors three different times per week. The timeslots depend on where the inmates are housed, and you should ask those questions while arranging your visit.
