Sending a Mail/Care Package

While you cannot send paperback books, magazines or newspapers, you can make arrangements for these to be sent and mailed directly from the publisher to the inmate. Each inmate at the Calaveras County Juvenile Hall can possess up to two books and magazines at one time.

You can also bring the money order directly to the Calaveras County Juvenile Hall.
Money orders should be for less than $100.
Phone calls
Inmates at the Calaveras County Juvenile Hall can call collect or purchase phone cards for $10 or $20 through Commissary. Inmates can use phone cards to call cell phones. If inmates prefer to make collect calls, they can do so in any of the dayrooms during most times of time. Calls cannot exceed 20 minutes.

Visitation
Setting up a visit with an inmate is a fairly easy process. You can visit either remotely via video or in person. Here are some FAQs about visitation. Visiting hours are from 07:30AM – 10:00PM Tuesdays through Saturdays, and it is encouraged to set up your visit in advance to make sure there are no issues with your visit.
