Sending a Mail/Care Package
You can only send mail for inmates at the Butler County Jail via the US Postal Service. Do not use UPS, FEDEX, or any other third-party shipping provider. In addition to the inmate’s information, also include the sender’s name and address on the envelope. Without the sender’s information, the mail will be discarded and not passed on to the inmate.

Sending Money
The easiest way to send money to an inmate is to do it online. From that webpage, you select from the different drop down menus, choosing “Missouri” and “Butler County.” After you identify the inmate, you will be able to safely and securely deposit money into an inmate’s account easily.
Phone calls
Any money you despite can be used for an inmate's commissary account. The inmate at the Butler County Jail can either purchase commissary items or make phone calls. In addition to the inmate’s commissary account, you can deposit money with the inmate telephone provider, which will allow the inmate to call you collect and have the charges paid from this account. You can make a deposit to a telephone account here.
Inmates cannot receive incoming calls, but can make outgoing calls with the prepaid account or by calling collect.
Visitation
Video Visits are conducted in the Butler County Jail lobby on video terminals. Inmates can receive up to 2 20 minute visits per week. In order to make sure the inmate isn’t exceeding his limits, you should plan your visit ahead of time.
Adults need to visit separately, unless they are the parents of the inmate. Children can only visit if a parent comes with them. Plan to bring valid identification and dress conservatively.
