Meigs City Jail serves to provide custody of prisoners awaiting trial. The Meigs City Jail is located at 1006 Depot Street, Meigs, GA, 31765 in downtown Meigs adjacent to the courthouse. The current Meigs City Jail was opened in June, 1979, replacing an antiquated facility built in 1915 which was located on the top floor of the old courthouse.

The last option, the slowest option, is to send a money order via the mail. The money order should be made out to the Meigs City Jail Inmate Fund. In the memo field, clearly print or type the name of the inmate. Never send cash through the mail.
Phone calls

Visitation
The easiest way to visit an inmate at Meigs City Jail is do so via video. Schedule an appointment, and you can do a video visit from the lobby of the jail. Visits will last for up to 20 minutes and not cost any money. Like phone calls, you will need to register with Securus.
