Williams Jail serves to provide custody of prisoners awaiting trial. The Williams Jail is located at 700 North Street, Williams, CA, 95987 in downtown Williams adjacent to the courthouse. The current Williams Jail was opened in June, 1979, replacing an antiquated facility built in 1915 which was located on the top floor of the old courthouse.

Sending Money
The easiest way to give money to an inmate is to deposit money online. You can Click here to start the process of setting up an account through SmartDeposit.com, which will enable you to deposit money in an inmate’s account.
Another way to deposit money to an inmate is to visit a kiosk located in a lobby. Using the kiosk, you can allocate cash or a credit card transaction to credit an inmate’s account.
The last option, the slowest option, is to send a money order via the mail. The money order should be made out to the Williams Jail Inmate Fund. In the memo field, clearly print or type the name of the inmate. Never send cash through the mail.
Phone calls
Like many other jails, Williams Jail uses Securus Technologies to facilitate phone calls with inmates. While inmates cannot receive calls, they can make phone calls. It’s best for family and friends to set up an account with Securus or call them for at 530-473-2661.
Visitation
The easiest way to visit an inmate at Williams Jail is do so via video. Schedule an appointment, and you can do a video visit from the lobby of the jail. Visits will last for up to 20 minutes and not cost any money. Like phone calls, you will need to register with Securus. You should schedule your visit on the website at least 24 hours before you plan to visit. If you do not have regular internet access, there is a terminal in the jail lobby that will allow you to set up a visit. Inmates can receive up to 2 lobby video visits per week.
