Phone calls
Inmates cannot receive phone calls, but they are set up to make phone calls. Inmates at the MCC Chicago pay for the phone calls, often from their commissary account, which you can send money to.
Visitation
A few overall things to remember:
First, locate the inmate. You can search online, and verify the whereabouts of an inmate. After this, you will need to get pre-approved for a visit. An inmate will need to place you on their visitor’s list, and you will be subject to a background check. Prepare for your visit by knowing what to wear (nothing provocative and no violent graphics on your clothing). Plan your visit and nail down a timeslot to visit the inmate at the MCC Chicago.
